This pass weekend, I had the pleasure escaping Architecture School to photograph this lovely couple. I’m really happy for them. Its her final week in Boston after they have been on semi Long distance for a bit. They moved around a bit for professional reasons. But finally they are residing together. It was interestingly different this time. I’ve never photographed an engagement session in Boston and I really enjoyed it.
Craig Boney’ made this sweet statue. He had it in his head for a while and said one day he just felt like making it. Well, here it is. Sadly, it has to come down in a few day. The Details in this thing is amazingly simple but the effect is so dramatic. I’m surprised “ONE MAN” made this.
Spring is so pretty. I wish I had gotten to take those engagement shots last week. Its so pretty in Boston. Definitely one of my favorite times of the year as long as it doesn’t rain.
I’ve known Judy and Kelvin for long time. They’ve also been together for a long time….. 8 years and I dont know when’s the engagement. Recently they came to Boston to revisit Kelvin’s past. He lived here for a few years when he was really young. Unfortunately I was away in Barcelona and was only able to show them around for a day. During that time, I asked if I can test out some concepts on them. I used their camera…..a Sony SLR that I’ve never used before. In return they got these images to keep. 🙂
Mies Van der Rohe’s Barcelona Pavilion
Mies was offered the commission of this building in 1928 after his successful administration of the 1927 Werkbund exhibition in Stuttgart. The German Republic entrusted Mies with the artistic management and erection of not only the Barcelona Pavilion, but for the buildings for all the German sections at the 1929 Universal Exhibition. However, Mies had severe time constraints—he had to design the Barcelona Pavilion in less than a year—and was also dealing with uncertain economic conditions.
A recent trip to Barcelona with my Classmates to work with IAAC (Institute of Advance Architecture of Catalonia). A pretty intensive 5 days, but I manage to get walk around and get some photos. Unfortunately, I never got to go to any of these places intentionally without being Rush. I will definitely go back
Pix a day for the last 2 months. I think I’ll try to do it monthly. I wish I could update daily, but its become too much of a chore. School is really cracking me right now, but I do manage to still have a bit of fun.
I’m having a blast and working really hard, but I’m not sure I am really doing well. Time management isn’t the problem. Its just there are too much stuff to do out here. I’m not sure how people even have time to party. Perhaps its partly because I’m trying to save up money for my up coming travels. But Good news. I’m going to Barcelona later this month. Gaudi’s Sagrada Família‘s inter is done. I’ll make sure to check it out. If you dont know who GAUDI is, please wiki him. He has far ahead of his time. Truely a master.
