MIT 150 Installation
During MIT’s 150 anniversary, our school hosted an open house even to the public. This gave opportunity to display the latest architectural innovations of our school, both for professors and students. I covered a few of the installations and documented so they could end up in the designers portfolio.

updated. Portraits of Classmates in 2010. As a premise, I asked them to hold something that would represent themselves and better show the world who they are. While most of them picked their architectural models, most revealed their personalities quite well through what they were holding. Also I shot this entire set using Kodachrome because Dwayne photo was going to stop doing slides. So no more development of the film…………….

Pix a Day

My 2010 Pix a day Album. Every day for the year of 2010, I took a photo to try to help me remember what was going on that day. However, sometime in January, I wanted to stop because I had done it all year in 2009, but after 2 weeks, I got back on again. I couldn’t stop. I was addicted.  When I look back at it, I can actually recall the things that occurred to me on that day.  I didn’t know I could last so long but I did it for the entire year. In addition, you can see the progress I took. I am not less interested in HDR and more about composition. 2010 was an interesting year, MIT has forever shaped the way I think about the world. All the sudden I am vastly critical and see things in new light. I actually can speculate better now.

It had one of the most incredible interiors I’ve ever seen. The Seed were really impressive. I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn’t so much push and shove. I could barely get a shot off before being pushed along the way out toward the exit.

I was quite surprised by it. I didn’t expect to see this double helix get constructed because the whole time i was wondering how it was structurally sound. I guess in the end, those crazy steel frames really did it. The building was shaking constantly from people taking steps. It made it rather difficult to shoot long exposures. In addition to the thousands of people in that pavilion with me there was rain. There were no biking around the pavilion that day…..

My 2009 Pix a day Album. Every day for the year of 2009, I took a photo to try to help me remember what was going on that day. When I look back at it, I can actually recall the things that occurred to me on that day. I didn’t know I could last so long but I did it for the entire year. 2009 was an interesting year.  I got into MIT and I met many new talented people. I had to leave my rather secure and promising job working for engineers….. Funny thing, an architect working for an engineer…But it help me find out a lot about myself.
