Predicting and Envisioning a shot
Mardi Gras is crazy. I’ve seen things I would prefer I didn’t…. I recommend everyone to go at least one….. but I prefer not to show that through these photos 🙂
Awesome classmates of mine. Their first meeting was an amazing story to hear. Apparently they met on a plane going to run the same marathon. 🙂
Few years later here they are.
Portraits around Boston, Beacon Hill and North End for Maira
On this occasion, I had the opportunity to teach a friend of mine how to use a strobe off camera. He had a really nice flash but had not realized it full potentials yet. Not to say i am an expert at flash (afterall, I shoot buildings) I do know enough to do weddings and engagement sessions. But I would have to work with people to get the right shots. I am after all the democratic type that like to help clients design a shot that’s meaningful to them. Joanie’s (Nathan’s Sister) wedding will be in a few months and Nathan would like to be able to shoot some nice photos of them. They have a wedding photographer so im not too worried. They’ve requested trying out some graffiti. And here is my attempt.
Located North of the city of San Francisco is a treasure known as Muir Woods. Here’s the little history from Wiki…..
“One hundred fifty million years ago ancestors of redwood and sequoia trees grew throughout the United States. Today, the Sequoia sempervirens can be found only in a narrow, cool coastal belt from Monterey, California, in the south to Oregon in the north.
This pass weekend, I had the pleasure escaping Architecture School to photograph this lovely couple. I’m really happy for them. Its her final week in Boston after they have been on semi Long distance for a bit. They moved around a bit for professional reasons. But finally they are residing together. It was interestingly different this time. I’ve never photographed an engagement session in Boston and I really enjoyed it.
I’ve known Judy and Kelvin for long time. They’ve also been together for a long time….. 8 years and I dont know when’s the engagement. Recently they came to Boston to revisit Kelvin’s past. He lived here for a few years when he was really young. Unfortunately I was away in Barcelona and was only able to show them around for a day. During that time, I asked if I can test out some concepts on them. I used their camera…..a Sony SLR that I’ve never used before. In return they got these images to keep. 🙂
