Tama Art University Library by Toyo Ito

02 Jul 2011 / 0 Comments / in Architecture

Worst rain storm ever. Witness lots of lighting. So what I do on my day off? Travel somewhere 2 hrs away by train to see a rather famous building in the Architecture world. Did I mention it was raining hard the whole way there.  After I got to the building…. It stop raining. If I had only gone 40 minutes later, I wouldn’t be all wet….

Toyo Ito’s work has always amazed me. This one was designed under the concept of creating a cave where people can learn.

So no photography and it wasn’t open to public that day. But I guess the Japanese Librarian sympathized with me when I told her I came all the way out here to see this building. So I guess I have to say, my TX 5 point and shoot really did most of the work for this shoot. Dont ever doubt your point and shoots!!!!
